Parents, welcome to the “Parents” portion of our page. This page is dedicated to parents to find out more about you and what you like and don’t like. This page is also to help you make the right decisions picking a daycare. There are many important factors in choosing the right daycare.
Many people think paying more for child care is automatically better quality. This is the farthest from the truth. Paying extreme amounts when a facility is new is a big indicator that you are paying for the facility verses paying for quality of care. All new start up day cares need workers. Where do those workers come from? Most likely the ones that were let go from other centers are your new teachers.
Second thing to consider is, is the owner involved? Do you see the owner? How often are they present? A hireling is a hireling and no one is going to take care of your center better than the owners. The owners help keep the standard of excellence. So having the owners around are very important.
Why pay for the facility when quality should be your concern. You’re obviously not going to take them to a dump, but having the children read by the age of 4 is a big deal. Coming to the center for a tour is not to look at the building. The building is not going to teach your children. The teachers and the way they operate is what’s going to educate your children. You need to spend time with the teacher. You need to setup an appointment around the teacher’s schedule and ask what their standard class schedule is. Just because you see a schedule on the wall does not mean they follow it. The schedule on the wall is for state inspections. You can determine if the teachers follows the schedule by asking them what they do, how they do it, when they do it and what is the results. By asking these types of questions, you will be able to sense if they are being truthful.
Again we want to thank you for considering our center. We have a family environment here and I know you will be pleased.
